I wasn't always a Mazda enthusiast, not even when I bought my 2000 LX brand new off the lot 8 years ago. It wasn't until 2 years after I owned it, I started looking at JDM stuff. That's when the converting bug bit me and I started buying Sport20 stuff from Corksport. MSP stuff after that, you all get the idea.
To get to the point, I ran across this guy on an Audi forum that took converting to the extreme. He took his A4 B6(01-05) with 1.9L TDI and did a full exterior B7(05-08) RS4 conversion. He even swapped in RS4 seats. It's hard to even explain the magnitude of this conversion. The only way I can compare it to is converting a Protege to a Mazda3. A little exaggerated, but you get the point. It's that extensive. Cutting off rear quarters and everything. He explains the reason for the conversion is he wanted a RS4 but in his country(Norway), for some reason they all cost over $200,000US, even for a used one which is retarded.
As usual, he has haters saying what's the point? Even I wouldn't take on a project that big and expensive. But he pulled it off and got recognition for it. The only downside to this swap that I see is he didn't touch the engine. I would have at least swapped in the S4 4.2 V8, that's just me, but it's not my project. Either which way, I have to give this guy MAD props for the conversion. He started and didn't stop until completion.
I've been an Audi A4 fan ever since the B5(94-01). I was even going to take on the stress to my wallet and save for the next 3 years to purchase a RS4 and finance the rest, but I wanted to stay Mazda. Instead, I saved my money and bought 2 cars for the price of one, a MS3 and Mazda5. I don't think I would have pulled it off anyways, lol.
SICK, SICK BUILD!!!
