Replaced one of the DISI turbo 2.3L!

Finally got rid of the CX-7. Just wasn't cutting it for our needs. Really missed the room and torque of a big V-8, not to mention that I can get some more quads.

Got it this weekend.

08 Ford F-150 FX-2 5.4L

Got some mods planned already. I just removed all stickers and the running boards. Going to order an exhaust, intake, 2" rear shackle kit, flash tool...when it comes out, and swap out the stock 20's for some 22's.

I'm not a dash jokey and don't really like all of the fancy lights and colors Mazda uses to make the car look better than they really are so the interior does good for me. After all there are a few things I'm looking to change on the inside as well as the outside to make it better.
It does have the black sport leather captain chairs so it is alot better then a base model.

And the Ford can get off the line....LOL

Not like fancy lights and shit, just it's a plain old plastic box. Massive dash with too much flat space. Uninspiring door panels, terrible shifter. I've seen so many of those broken in < 2yrs.

LOL...what do you want? It is a truck....it is not suppose to cater to the dash board jokeys that like unnessecary cures, gadgets, lights, textures.

But next time you are buying a truck for me I will make sure to keep all those things in mind.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great truck. It does what ford trucks do best, which is haul shit and keep on tickin. If thats your main goal then go for it. I enjoy the new titan for its creature level. Not the pricetag though. I wish I could get my old dakota back. I loved that thing

We had an 07 Armada and if it wasn't a lemon we would have been happy with it, but there really is not too much difference between the titan and f-150 interior wise. I remember comment how the two look alike when they first came out. Take all of the badges off of both and most would not be able to tell which is which.
And the Titans are alot cheaper to get than the F-150's. There rebates/incentives are usually more than Fords plus x-plan, not too mention the truck is cheaper. I looked into it as it was an option.

Our interior is black so maybe that hides all of the plainess some how.

Thanks.
Were were looking at the Titan, but with the lemon of the Armada it put a bad taste in our mouth. Aftermarket played a little part in this as there are no good tuners for the Titan.

Just don't like the price and look of the Dodge/Toyota trucks.

The Ford was a good price especially with all of the rebates/incentives and the aftermarket is bigger than the others. And it seemed like the better truck and came stock with alot of options we wanted/liked.

Going to a few shops tomorrow to see if they have an exhaust/intake/rear shackle kit instock.....if not I'll order them tomorrow.
Just going to level out the rear, 2" drop shackles will work. They the same truck there with the rear shackles and was a huge improvement in looks.

Thanks for the responses.
