bumper guard removal, anyone done it?

I'm about to remove the door moldings and 2.3 badge off my car but was wondering if anyone has those bumper guards to keep from scratching the bumber when taking stuff in/out of the hatch. if so, did they come off easy or did you leave 'em on?

They are just down with adhesive... as far as I know members have taken them off without issue, just park it in the sun for a while first to make it easier.

They're held on by double sided tape and come off easy as mentinoned. A little goo gone to remove any remaining adheasive and you should be set.

IMO, they're quite handy to have and protect the bumper pretty well. But, if you don't use the hatch much then take them off without worry.

i guess i'm thinking too much about what to remove. i'm taking a heat gun home from work so i can knock everything out at once. in all honesty, i made the dealer put them on. and yes, i use the hatch alot. i live outside the city limits so i have to take my own trash ... pro and cons. i think i'll keep them for now.

Re: bumper guard removal, anyone done it?

i don't see what effect the rear bumper gurads whould have on door dings. are you referring to the door trim, maybe?

i was going to take off the 2.3 badges (since i have 17's and not 23's haha) and door trim but after i took the badges off (in like 2 minutes) i like the way it looks on my car with the door trim. keep in mind it's sun silver and after seeing pictures, it just seems too plain without 'em. if i had black, blue or red they'd be gone in a minute! thanks for the feedback guys...

Re: bumper guard removal, anyone done it?

it's all good... i can agree that the trim hasn't helped me either. a week or so after i bought my 3 i got a small dent on the angle part of the door. cost me 85 bucks to get it fixed but the dude did a kick ass job at removing it. i'm actually keeping my trim on for looks, as silly as it may sound
