Jury-Rig Fogs Always ON in my 2011 Mazda 3
I need to force my fogs always on in my 2011 Mazda 3 because it's an import to Canada following my recent move.
The only modification I need to do is get DRL's.
The modification is sub $200 at Canadian Tire, but I don't really trust those guys messing with my car, and I don't want to have to go back in and modify things when they give me some kind of mod that permanently dims my instrument panel (I've heard that's what happens).
There is a kit I can purchase that I've heard has fairly nebulous instructions... but I'm very new to automotive wiring, I've done soldering and crimping and all that kind of stuff before, but not on a car.
So, till I save up for a nice DRL kit, I want to jury-rig my fogs to always-on. Just completely bypass the switch. Ideally I'd like to just move my fogs to an always-on fuse location. I'd like it to be minimally invasive. I'd be happy as a clam with a wiring diagram, or some pictures, etc.
I know what you're all thinking. There are 100 topics about doing this already, but all of those topics seem to have dead links and/or dead pictures. If there's a particularly good one that I haven't found can you point me there? What other years would be similar to my 2011?
