Adding Fogs to a 2010 touring

So, my gf just bought a 2010 touring fully decked out (sun roof, bose ect...) and she wants to add fogs onto it. Now im a toyota guy so all these trims and styles are new to me so bare with me and my ignorant questions. Are there different aftermarket fog light systems on the touring vs. other 3 models? I was looking into these i found on ebay with the wiring harness and oem style button.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-2011-Ma...fb98dc&vxp=mtr

Any other options you guys recommend? Also, do the touring models have different front features as in a chrome front piece and different fog delete pieces? thanks for your help.

Those are LED drl's. Don't do much for lighting up the road. I know...I've installed these on my 2011 3. Factory fogs can be bought from onlinemazdaparts.com

Check out mazda3revolution.com

My LED DRL's are here: http://mazda3revolution.com/forums/2...er-fogs-3.html

Wrong, there are no LED's in these fogs. Don't know if the link is dead but these have 9006 bulbs in them and no LED's.

Those are the exact fog lights that I bought. I'm satisfied with them. I also bought some LED DRLs from eBay that are an exact fit for the corners of the smile. Now I didn't use the crappy harness and switch that they came with. I splurged and spent a little bit more to get a new turn signal stalk with the fog switch on it and I also bought the factory wire harness to fit the already there fog plug from www.onlinemazdaparts.com. I spent overall about $440 for lights on my car. I have two sets of LED DRLs, the ones in the smile and then I bought some edge-lit stick on lights and lined them under my head lights, my fog lights, and a pair of red stick ons and put them on my back bumper for brake lights.

Were these the fog lights you bought?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-2011-MA...60611154648%26

Did they come with the grill insert, of did you get that insert somewhere else? I really like the look of those lights. I noticed when I pulled my bumper off for my DRL install there was a wire harness on the passenger side connected to the bumper. Is this wire for an OEM fog light? Do the OEM lights connect to each other, and that is why there is only the one harness on the passenger side?

Here is a pic of the harness after I removed the bumper. There is not a harness on the driver side, so I'm guessing that the OEM fog lights both connect to that harness. If that IS the harness, I would only need to purchase the new switch for the steering column to make it work, I assume.

what would you hook up to the the switch then? If your adding fogs use a new harness and switch setup. But then again im a toyota guy so maybe some of the mazda experts on here have more in-site.

I was wondering the same thing about the lights too, but I went to the Mazda place and ordered a new steering column switch to replace the light switch. This switch has the fog light switch in it, so with the wiring harness there already, he said it should just be plug and play. From some of the posts I'm reading, that sounds right. PUt the new switch on the steering column, install the fog lights (either OEM or aftermarket, just tap off the positive wire), and they should be good to go. Since I'm moving to the UK, I plan on just tapping off the harness and running a wire to the rear of the car so when I turn on the switch it will illuminate the rear fog light also.

Did you mean Tap? According to the Mazda guy, there is a green + wire and a black - wire. I am going to splice off the green wire in the fog light harness and run a wire to the back for the rear fog light so it will work with the switch. I installed a new light switch yesterday in about 10 minutes. I just need to get a light when I get there so when the car arrives I can install it.
