Orion V2 Angel Eyes

I plan on purchasing these and some new HID's as well but I was just clearifying with everyone else that it would be stupid to buy the angel eyes before getting my HID's installed, right? I probably just gonna buy the angel eyes and then have them installed along with the HID's do you think this is the way to go? Sorry, if I didn't make much sense

Re: Orion V2 Angel Eyes

and on top of that what is the difference between buying an HID kit and buying HID bulbs? I know the kits cost more. For my last mazda i paid around $150 for the kit but I have seen bulbs as cheap as $40 and upwards of $100

Orion V2 Angel Eyes

Makes no difference when you get the HIDs vs angel eyes. You have to open the headlights to put in angel eyes, HIDs can be swapped in.. Whenever.

Look at DDM slim kits, they only cost like $40.

1.5 years on my ddm kit. Zero malfunctions or hiccups to date. I'd recommend any day.

Re: Orion V2 Angel Eyes

I've got the DDM kit for lows and fogs that I'll sell you. I think I opened the box once, just to see what they looked like, but they've been sitting on a shelf waiting to go in for over a year. Not that they're hard to do, but I've just been lazy, and I need the money more than I need the lights now. PM if interested. They are the 5000K color.

As for angel eyes, the Orion v2's get rave reviews. And Nuse is right -- there is no need to wait to install one or the other. The HIDs plug straight in. The halos require you to bake open the headlight, glue them in, and then wire them up.

Re: Orion V2 Angel Eyes

5k is white, 6k is a touch of blue

6k will match the Orion halos

Re: Orion V2 Angel Eyes

Do you think it would look bad having the halos with 5k then?

Re: Orion V2 Angel Eyes

Nope I personally think 6k halos would look nice with the 5k ddm... (yeah everyone beat me to it but ddm hid kit's are awesome)..

5000k still has a little hint of blue.. 6000k you def say has a blue tint... theres a hid thread
http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=18296.2010

look through it... you can get an idea what they look like, but it comes down to your choice.

Also to keep in mind if you get a 55w kit the color is washed out... so say if you get an 8000K kit in 55watts it will look like 6000k.
