2012 Mazda 3 i Touring lowbeams auto-off?

So I have a 2010 Honda Odyssey EX and a 2006 Toyota RAV4 Base. When I turn off the car with the low beams on and lock the doors, the low beams will automatically turn off after about 30 seconds. I noticed that the Mazda 3 i Touring does not have this feature. If I don't turn off the low beams on my Mazda 3, it will stay on forever. I'm scared I will forget to turn off my lights one day and drain my battery. Can someone confirm this or is something wrong?

Nah they don't auto turn off, it's kind of a bummer. I never really forget though, that's what the annoying buzzer is for. And I turn on my parking lights whenever I drive anyway, so I'm used to turning them off as soon as I get out of the car.

Did the dealer give you a personalization card? I can't remember if that was one of the options or not...

I know you can adjust how long the interior lights stay on and all kinds of other weird timing options.

I'd definitely recommend enabling the Smart Turn Signal, if it's not standard on the 2012s...

There is only an interior light timer on the Personalization Card. See here:

I'm probably not going to touch any of the wirings in the car. I've never had experience with that before. And I did not get a Personalization Options card. Where can I get that?

From the dealer. The first one you submit should be free, but if you want to change it later it costs. At least that's what my dealer's policy is...

+1. This is what my dealer told me, too.

Anyone have a bigger image of that personalization card that can be read? I tried downloading and zooming with no luck

Apparently, this thing is a little hard to find. As long as you have a card, they'll do it for free. The issue is that you are only supposed to get one card, so they aren't exactly posted up everywhere. I looked on Mazda's site and they don't have it (not that I could find, anyway). The last couple pages of the Owner's Manual (before the index) has all of the options you can get, but you still need the card to get the dealer to do it.
