DDM HID Wiring Harness routing

I have the DDM Raptor HID kit and one side has intermittent problems. Sometimes works fine and sometimes takes a few tries for it to come on. I was told that a wiring harness would help so I got one. Has anyone installed one? How'd you guys route the harness? It seems a bit short to reach from the battery to the ballast on the right by the light but that is me just laying it out. So if anyone has a nice clean way to route the harness please post haha pictures would be nice to!

Are you sure you are getting a full 12v to the ballast/bulb?

Re: DDM HID Wiring Harness routing

I dont know.. one of the ballast has no problem firing up every time i turn my lights on. the other usually takes a few tries or sometimes a ridiculous amount of tries (15-20 times) before it'll turn on. That's why I'm going to install the harness.

Every once in a blue moon my right light has a moment. But a quick disconnect and reconnect and fires right up.

That stuff coming out of your HUGE chrome exhaust you have mounted at an angle isn't power..It's Rice!!!

Re: DDM HID Wiring Harness routing

I had a problem like this in my old car (not a DDM kit).. it generally was caused because of a poor connection at the bulb plug.. essentially the pins (on the harness) that plugged into the factory wiring plug were too small (thin, narrow, whatever) to make a good connection all the time.

I never did fix it before totaling my car, lol.

Re: DDM HID Wiring Harness routing

maybe i should try plugging in the pins itself without the connector? anyone know how to get the pins out of the black housing part of the connector?
