2011 Mazda 3 Low Beam Bulb Type Confirmation!

I'm helping a buddy of mine get HIDs for his low beams from DDM Tuning. What is the bulb type for the 2011 Mazda 3 low beams??

I think its 9006, but have seen the H11 somewhere too, please help fast! Were planning to get them today!

Thanks!

H11 for lowbeams, 9006 for fogs.

I'm guessing he has the non-GT model right

Yeah I'm pretty sure he has just the basic model.

Re: 2011 Mazda 3 Low Beam Bulb Type Confirmation!

Also does anyone know if HIDs can be installed without having to take the front bumper off? Or is it easier with the bumper off. If so, does anyone have a link of a how-to to remove the front bumper on the 2011 Mazda 3? Or even a how-to to install HIDs in the 2011 3? I know how to install HIDs very well but I've never worked on a Mazda before.

Thanks for any additional help

You can easily put HID's into the lowbeams without taking the bumper off.

On a side note, taking the bumper off will make it easier to install in the Fogs though.

Ok cool thanks Fugly, his car didn't come with fogs which is another reason why I believe he has the basic package and model 3.
Any suggestions on where to mount the ballasts? Any nice hidden deep spots that they can fit nicely? I guess I'll see when popping his hood.

Look to where Xero has posted pics, there's a spot at the side of the car above the fender wells. I used doublesided tape to stick it there. Have had no problems.
