Lights On Chime

This was incorrectly posted in the wrong forum before, sorry... ....What is the procedure to increase the volume of the 'Lights On/Seatbelt' Chime'? Owners manual says to take it to a dealer?? Also, is it possible to add an automatic lights on feature to a 2010, 3 Sport that is non factory equipped?

Gotta take it to the dealer. When you bought the car, you got one of those "Personalization Cards", and the lights-on chime volume was one of the options to change. I think the default setting is "high", because I think I had them change mine to "low". If you leave the lights on for 30 minutes after the car is off, the lights will automatically turn off to prevent battery drain. This timer can be adjusted, too. I changed my to 10 minutes.

As for the auto-lights, I'm not sure. I was looking to add that, too, so keep me posted.

Re: Lights On Chime

I have the fully loaded model with the board computer and I was able to set most of my settings through their.
If you want t have the auto lights the OEM way of doing it will cost you a roof harness, windshield with sensor mount, new PJB The senor itself, and the light switch. I did this to my 05 mazda 3 and it was easy to do as it was plug and play. I pulled all my parts out of a scrapper so it was relatively cheap. The windshield cost me the most at 350$ Cad installed
