DDM vs. XenonExperts

I have read that XenonExperts is a major contributor to this forum and I would like to go through them to do the HID upgrade for my M3i. The only issue that I am having is that the DDM slimfit kit is listed at $43.50 I think on the DDM site and the XenonExperts site lists it for $195. Does anyone know why this is or if there is something that I am missing?

Maybe DDM purchsed a bulk of manufactured standard designs from a Manufacturing company with an agreement to have there name placed on product with the contract to purchase a set amount in stead of a standard order per purchase option???

That stuff coming out of your HUGE chrome exhaust you have mounted at an angle isn't power..It's Rice!!!

Nothing wrong with DDM kits, go with them, why pay so much for the same product.

Thats what I have read. It just made me nervous because XenonExperts is selling DDM's product for $150 more. I have heard of markups, but that is ridiculous. I thought that there had to be something wrong with the price difference, but I guess that they are just hoping for people that don't do their research before spending $200. Thanks.

Where do you see them for $150 more? The DDM kit that is comparable to the $35 set on ddmtuning.com is this one http://www.xenonexpert.com/ddm_kit_sale.html , still more expensive, but not $150 more.

Re: DDM vs. XenonExperts

DDM has a lifetime warranty too. I HIGHLY recommend them. The only problem I had was with a ballast after 5 months. I got it exchanged easily, but I live 15 min away from the HB location.

Correct.

On the same subject, we have our own kits like the Ultrafire, Volt and Xtreme. Ultrafires are not much more expensive than DDM but more reliable to the point of us maybe dropping the DDM line as quality and reliability is going down for the sake of a few bucks and bigger volume.

Having one problem per year is still too much in our book. And that's not getting better with each new ballast design and components they use. The Ultrafires will also come in a slim version shortly on our site. Lifetime warranty etc...

Re: DDM vs. XenonExperts

That's my mistake. I was sure that I had noticed the price for the kit at $195 and I looked at it several times. I just returned to the site and noticed the price at $85 I believe which is still double the price of the kit directly from DDM. Does anyone know if installing these will affect the warranty?

Re: DDM vs. XenonExperts

It will not affect warranty, the HID kits are all plug and play.
