Blue bulbs appearing white?

So recently I bought some blue bulbs, but they appear white when they are on. Is there something in the headlight that filters out the blue? If so how can I remove it.

I have a tendancy to be an aggressive driver

Re: Blue bulbs appearing white?

Here is the website I bought them from, http://www.luminicsbulbs.com/h11_bulbs.php, they are the 4th down, called "Pure Blue h11 Bulbs" They are halgoen, but are meant to project blue light, so i belive there is something in the mazda 3 headlight filtering out the color.

Oh man I know how it is. I had to remove my blue filter too. I got around this by spray painting my headlamp blue.

No.

No seriously. You can get blue overlays for your headlights. Those "blue bulbs" turn white. and there is NO Blue filter.

Get some blue HIDs if you really want the useless blue you're going for. The projectors also wash out some of the blue light.

No.
