HID Issue

Hello Everyone!

I purchased HID kit for my 3, 35w 6000K. Installed it, worked for a certain period of time, and the ballast on passenger side broke down. So I contact the seller and they send me a new ballast - paid only for shipping. Installed the new one, worked also for a certain period of time and broke down again, also on passenger side!:x At first I thought that it broke down cause of all the shocks and vibrations cost by road halls and the place I installed it. So when I got the second ballast I secure it as best as I could to avoid the same problem, but couple days ago it broke again!! Can some one explain to me what really could cost the ballast broking down, may be I'm getting it wrong may be there is a different reason causing those damages. May be it's no a mechanical reason, may be it's electrical reason? I'm really looking for some help on this problem. If any one can help I would really appreciate it

PS. If I made some terrible language errors please forgive me :P

Re: HID Issue

I put HID's in mine and i havent lost a ballast yet. Its been about 6 months. But ever since i put them in, the pass side is not as bright as the drivers side. Did you use the factory headlight harness or a heavyer guage harness?

Re: HID Issue

It actually came out that it wasn't the ballast fold, it was the plug (plastic plug that you put on the of power wires, on the connectors) that came with the KIT. The wires endings didn't stick out enough through the plug and after couple bumps the wire was unplugging but the plug was staying in the lights power outlet, causing the pass side turning off. I just swap the plugs (the one's that came withe the KIT) and it's working sow far
Yes I'm running on the factory headlight harness. But I'm getting the same feeling (from the inside of the car) that the right side isn't so bright, but from the out side it seems good. And the other thing is that the factory lights level is set too low!!
