35w is MORE than enough.

If you drive on dark rural roads with little oncoming traffic, then consider 55w. Otherwise, installing 55w HIDs is pretty insensitive to those you share the road with.

Don't be a douche bag and blind other drivers. At least you aren't in a giant ass truck with HID's... hate those whorebags. I'll kill them!!!

put it this way: 35W HIDs are going to put out about twice the number of lumens as a standard 55W halogen headlight will. ya, they're going to be bright enough.

good call...

fyi: 55w hids are technically not legal for street use. if you read the fine print, they should say that they're only for "racing use" or "offroad use".

35w HIDS aren't technically legal either. If you get pulled over with 8000k 35w HID's the cop can give you a ticket just the same.

Get 35W 4k-5k bulbs and then look into adjusting your lens. I'm not sure its been done yet no the 2010s, but spacing the lens out just a smidge will get you the blue fringe effect while maintaining the high output of white light.
