HID Conversion

I know pretty much everyone here converts to HID on their own. Just wanted to know if anyone would know a ballpark on how much a shop would charge for the installation(all parts would be bought b4 install). And also any suggestions on places to go. Going to go out and ask myself just dont want to get raked if i can go off a price someone else got. Thanks.

Re: HID Conversion

remove a couple screws per side, unclip the deadly eye-poking spring, pull out the pin like bulb ( make sure you put these somewhere that kids wont acquire them), insert the retina burning hid bulb, plug in bulb to ballast, balast to factory wiring...enjoy. Sorry I couldnt continue the sarcastic undertones. Honestly save your money !!

Re: HID Conversion

You would probably get a better answer asking someone from your region. They can charge one thing in NJ and something totally different where you are from.

FYI, I converted to HID's and it should'nt take more than a half hour. So keep that in mind if someone wants to charge you 200 bux to do the install.

Re: HID Conversion

Honestly, Try it yourself first....it's really easy. If you decide to have it installed shop around as you'll be paying for labor and that can vary a lot from one place to another.

Re: HID Conversion

BTW, not sure what directions you read, but some guys read some where you have to take out hte headlights and/or remove the retention clip.

Both of these are unecessary to do.

Re: HID Conversion

lol i was wondering the same..bout how much it would cost to have a shop do it..ive never worked on cars..just easy stuff like painting the interior..it is necessary to remove the front bumper to install the hids...im all for doing it myself but something about removing the bumper by myself gives me chills. lol
