Need help with HID conversion please!!!

i odered a hid kit off of ebay and installed it about 1 month agao before I installed it I baked the drivers headlight and pulled it apart because it had condensation in it. I wanted to do this before I installed the hid kit. Then when i installed the lights the driverside light has an hour glass shape on the fron lens that does not light up, but the other side is fine. The bulb also lights up fine its not the bulb it's somtheing inside the housing so I took the headlight oss and reseated the bulb and try to aim it up or down to see if this made a difference but it didn't at first i thought it was the hid kit so the seller sent me a whole new one so its not the kit the passenger light is perfect but i did not bake that one I wonder if when i baked it maybe it messed up something inside the headlight. When i took the headlight off i took the bulb out and looked inside the projector it looks like the plastic piece that m akes the cutoff line was at the bottom half of the projector. Isn't it supposed to be at the top half of the projector if anyone has any suggestions, or pictures of the inside of there projectors that would be great. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Re: Need help with HID conversion please!!!

You should have just had the condensation replaced under your warranty, and if you were out of warranty, i would of suggested getting a new headlight. I would never bake my head light. Sounds like u distorted something within the housing, You F*cked up.

sorry i wasent any help for the current situation, and i hope u can figure this out. good luck

well, i dunno much about what the inside of the projector looks like, but it does sound like something is not right. how long and at what temp did you bake for? countless members have baked their headlights in order to install angeleyes, but it is somewhat of a controversy as to how long.

that seems to be pretty much the standard. wish i could help more, but it does not sound like you did anything out of the ordinary from anyone who has ever baked for angeleyes
