Nitrogen Filled Vs. Regular Air Filled Tires

I got my wheel/tire setup filled with nitrogen, but I feel that the tires aren't as grippy as they should be. That leads me to believe that I should decrease the air on the tires. They are at about 32 psi right now I believe, so what should I put them up to?

If I do have to increase them, are there any effects with using the reg. air vs. the nitro. air?

Thanks,
Geoff

Re: Nitrogen Filled Vs. Regular Air Filled Tires

Im using 35psi all around. My cars have always used that. Its the sweet spot imo for tires. I dont know with your nitro though. I just use regular air.

On my wifes car Costco used Nitro in her tires and I have never had to add air to them again.
Her tires now maintain a steady 32lbs for over a year now.

As far as I can tell it make sno diff on handling.

Re: Nitrogen Filled Vs. Regular Air Filled Tires

Nitrogen are used in aviation to prevent corrosion on wheels since regular air will always have moisture.

Re: Nitrogen Filled Vs. Regular Air Filled Tires

I've got my tires (including the spare) filled with nitro as well. Stays a constant PSI which reduces tread wear, leaks 6x slower due to larger molecule size, and supposed to help with corrusion of aluminum wheels. Jay Leno and Nascar uses nitro so I figure its good more me. Think its more common outside of the States.
