Found the only dealer with new 2015 M3's. Good deal?

Hello,

Oddly enough I was able to find a dealership that has new 2015's. I went to a few dealerships this weekend and none of them had 2015's with less than 10000 miles on them ... except this one which has 6 with less than 10 miles It kinda makes me question where they came from!

So I have a few options here:

A) 2015 Mazda 3 Touring Sedan Automatic, 5 miles
invoice $18,980, MSRP $21,920, haggled down to $18,280.

B) 2015 Mazda 3 Sport Sedan Automatic, 5 miles
invoice $16,980, MSRP $19,040

C) 2016 Mazda 3 Sport Sedan Automatic, 0 miles
invoice $18,965, MSRP $19,730. Haggled down to $17,444

Option A and B hasn't been negotiated yet. Option C won't go any lower.

Are any of these good deals? I feel like I can bring A and B down a bit.

They will be hot and heavy to move those 2015's off the lot. I would work them over a bit and get the Touring trim for the price of the Sport. If they dont take it, just walk away....he'll call back

While I agree buying a Mazda3 i Touring is much preferable over a Mazda3 i Sport, so, all else being equal, I'd go for Option A. The thing is, "all else" isn't equal. Why? The resale value of the 2015s will be measurably lower at any point in time in the relatively near future, and in the end, it may cost you less to buy a 2016 model once you decide to upgrade to something else.

Were I in your shoes, I'd shop around for a 2016 Mazda3 i Touring.

I'm leaning towards option A as well. For 2015 most of the upgrades are cosmetic except for the backup camera which is why i'm also considering option B. A backup camera is a nice to have but not a requirement.

I don't know if the 2015 Mazda3 i Touring has the same upgraded features as the 2016, but here is the 2016 list, and I've highlighted in BOLD the "must have" items on it; well worth the money IMHO.
  • 16-inch alloy wheels - I don't consider this "cosmetic" as lighter alloy wheels will improve ride, handling, acceleration, and braking; definitely a "must have" in my book.
  • Body-colored folding, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn signal lamp - If you live anywhere in the world where it gets cold enough to frost over the exterior mirrors, this is one of those "must have" items. My 2009 Mazda3 didn't have this feature, and I have to say, I really found it annoying Mazda thinks those of us living south of the U.S./Canada border don't need heated mirrors.
  • Halogen fog lights
  • Auto on/off headlights
  • Bright beltline molding
  • Rear decklid spoiler
  • Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry - While not exactly cosmetic, this is a really handy feature.
  • Premium cloth-trimmed sport seats
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel - Have you ever rented/driven extensively a modern(ish) car with a non-leather covered rubberized plastic steering wheel? Positively annoying; this is a "must have" feature of any car I own.
  • Leather-wrapped brake handle
  • Leather-wrapped gearshift knob - If you're buying a manual transmission equipped car, this is just as much a "must have" as the steering wheel.
  • Rear seat center armrest with cupholders
  • Rain-sensing windshield wipers - This is one of those features I didn't think I'd ever care for; then I bought two cars with the feature, and now I really don't want to ever have another car without it. Not exactly a "must have", but pretty darn close.
  • Power sliding-glass moonroof with one-touch open
  • Auto-dimming interior mirror
  • Overhead console with sunglasses holder
