Ordering a 3 through Online Representative

Remember people, many of the dealers, especially on the east coast, did not get the M3 until early December. So to say that these cars are not selling is not correct.

But they're not exactly flying off the lot either. I still think Mazda is not doing a good job of marketing them. The cars have been out for at least a month in most regions, and maybe closer to two. Most of my friends say they have just noticed the commercials for the 3, or really didn't even know that the car existed. On the other hand, how much hoopla went on for the 350Z when it first came out? This is sorta comparing apples to oranges, but it seemed like everyone knew these things were coming out before the release date, and the amount of preorders backs that up. But assuming my dealership had the 3 since early December, it took them about a month and a half to get ONE of them off the lot... this being mine since they said I was the first one off their lot. I'm not a dealer, but taking a month and a half to get a single car from a certain line off the lot plain stinks.

Also spend too much time on the carsound.com forums

Yep Yep. Sure did. Invoice was $18,368. I wanted to buy the car for $17,750 and apply a further $500 recent graduate discount. Dealer offered me $18,250 and assured me that I'd be able to get both the college graduate and owner loyalty rebates totaling $1000, despite Mazda's website claiming that you can't combine the two. I was not comfortable with it, so they took the $1000 off the car and the rebates do not even show up on my sales contract. The dealer is going to shoulder the risk of getting (or not getting) the money from Mazda. Thus my contract shows that I paid $17,250 for the car in my signature. Will post scans if needed.

Granted that I don't live in the big city, but I have not seen many new cars from any dealers on the highways. Of the new ones, I have seen one Mazda 6, no Mazda 3s, several of the 350Z, one Crossfire, no Nissan Armadas, one Prius.

Guess the time of year so hopefully with nicer weather coming in several months, the car sales for all cars especially the M3 will take off. Everybody is waiting for their tax refund. HA

No need scanning LeeLee, congrats on the good deal!

I really don't think the 3 is selling very well in the Mid-west b/c my local dealer has had the same 2 HB 5-spds for almost a month. That's fine w/ me though b/c they were dicks to me!

MZ3 HB, 5-spd, Rally White, ABS/SAB/SAC, Moonroof/Changer (03/04 build),

Umm.. I don't think anyone in the US got the car until Mid-December, did they?? MY dealer got it around the second week and said that it came in a week early.
