Answer back is the chirp you hear to confirm that the system received the signal. *beep beep* K-CHINK. It is a minor detail, but there are actually a lot of cars that do not have an answer back chirp, only flashing signal lights.

And in regard to the optional accessories, I am sure dealers will have pricing information on that stuff in a separate accessory brochure. That's usually the case ... they do not include accessory prices with the car's basic literature.

I'm kinda bummed. I wanted a Sedan S with no gfx package, because I dislike the front sport bumper and the sport grille. But now I am forced to have these things. Also, it looks like there is an option for a cassette deck, but no mini-disc.

I too am wondering what the S, with the sport grill/bumpers, will look like with out the side-sills and the 17" tires.

Oh well, I'm still excited.

You guys should not complain. You get great packages and SAB/SAC that I wanted, all for a decent price and will have lower financing rates than us (Canada) - as always.

I figured they meant black dash, beige doors and seats.
Yes, that is exactly what they mean, though there is some beige framing the center stack, the dash is mostly black.

wind deflectors and mud guards and the like

Also, it seems to me like this isn't the final options list. Where are all those wind deflectors and mud guards and the like?
You can expect to find those as dealer accessories. And the dealer sets the price on those.

Oooops! I see you guys covered that already. Next time I;ll read through befor I reply/

It will be interesting to see if there is much discounting in the first couple of months. If it follows what I've seen from other manufacturers, they may have some discounts on the standard models but try to hold closer to list on the "s" models. Even Mazda was discounting the 6i sooner and deeper than they have the 6s.

Cause they had an overabunance of i's. They didn't plan on the demand for the 6s w/ manny's.
