Test drove yesterday

Hey all! I test drove a 2015 Mazda 3 i touring hatch AT yesterday. Now I didn't get to take it out for long because in Huntington Beach on beach blvd the surrounding area is pretty congested.

I am coming from my current vehicle which is a 2004 Honda Element so it is compeltely different with roughly the same HP.

I loved the tech in the model. BT, push button start, awesome media display, ride comfort (I am 6 feet tall), tach display, etc. It looks great and felt nice and smooth.

I was hoping gor a little more "oomph" or giddy up from the engine, but I tested the 2.0L. The 2.5 is a bit outside my price range though so I didn't test it. I am wondering if I upgrade the exhaust and the intake like i did in my element if it will give me a little more pop and more of the throaty sound I love. Also I would enjoy that MT, but here in socal traffic is pretty bad and having a clutch in traffic is aggonizing.

I am still going to test drive the Subaru XV Crosstrek, Kia Optima, and the For C-MAX. I do get invoice priving on the Mazda, Subaru, and Ford though my work so that is something to consider. Apparently I qualify for several discounts for Mazda because of my job which is cool.

Any thoughts on where I am currently at?

Thanks!

Unless you absolutely prefer new and the gas milage of the 2.0, you might want to consider previous years if you want that giddy up in power (2.5) for a lower price.
