2012 Speed3 Tech Package

Hey, I was just looking for current owners of the 2012 or 2011 Mazdaspeed3 that includes the tech package . I have never driven one with it so I was curious if it is worth the extra 2150$. Mainly I am interested int he impressions of the the HID headlights, adaptive front lighting, navigation system, the led lense tailights, and "rain sensing windshield wipers" (because I know we all cant tell its raining and turnthem on ourselves)?

But any opinions from current owners would be great thanks!

Also, I was curious if this package comes with the footwell lights in the car?

Call me wierd but I would rather have the keyed start rather than keyless.

Re: 2012 Speed3 Tech Package

While I have a 2009 Grand Touring model, my car is equipped with HIDs, LED tail lights, and rain sensing wipers. I like all three items. I couldn't live without HIDs anymore. That's a no brainer. The LED tail lights are fun, but don't add anything necessarily. And the wipers are actually pretty good and it's just one more thing I never have to worry about. They're stupid in snow, though. They can't really detect snow all that well or get confused by it. Thankfully, I live in an area where major snow isn't a concern.

My Past: 2009 Mazda3 GT 5-door, 5MT (MGM) - SOLD
My Present: 2013 Subaru BRZ Limited, 6MT (WRB)

2009 model MS3 here too.

HID = Absolutely essential in my mind, I now look at halogen equipped cars as road hazards at night.
LED Tails = Meh, doesn't really matter to me, I can't see them.
Rain sensing wipers = Oh it works alright, as in it goes when it rains. But the sensitivity settings are absolutely garbage. Adjusting the dial does nothing. Whatever setting you have the wipers on, they'll still freak out at the slightest sight of rain drops.

congrats on your purchase. The one thing I dont like about the car is the range but then again I wanted it so I have no one to blame but myself.

i agree, but the car is defiantly fast. I find myself having a hard time going "70" the car begs you to break the law.
