I would be interested in a more powerful version. Either the new skyactiv 2.5 like in the 6 ... or even better, a speed 3

I'm in a different place now. I loved my 6, but it was totaled so I now have a 3 that really handles and will be perfect for my son in 2.5 years. At that time I will be able to buy a car that is a step up from the loaded 6 I used to own. Hopefully VAG (VW Audi group) will have something reliable.

While I wouldn't mind getting a MS3, the wife will kill me if I get another anything that's not maily for her (talking her into a CX-9). I do love my 3, but the lack of rear leg room (and the fact that my kid is going to 6+ft tall) is what's keeping me from being a repeat buyer.

I thought about getting rid of my mazda for a lexus IS250. After the test drive I decided the mazda is equal or better. I am sticking with mazda!

Since the last time I posted on this thread 11(!!) years ago, we’ve bought 2 more Mazdas. I picked up a 2008 Speed 3 with ~6900 miles back in 2015, and a new 2018 3 GT hatch. So I think we’re up to 12 if you count all the Proteges that have come and gone.

I wanted to buy another new 3 this year but they don't offer the manual in the sedan and I don't care for the hatchback.
And I still enjoy driving my 2006 Mazda3 5sp, just wanted a new one. So since there is no Mazda sedan with a manual I am looking at other brands as I refuse to buy a 4cyl with an automatic transmission. I really wanted the 6 with a manual this year.
