300,000 Miles!

2004 Automatic Hatchback bought it in Feb. '05 as an old stock deal. (had 67 miles) Routine maintenance except 6-disc changer ~200k and water pump ~285k. Still fun to drive and in amazing shape.

I dig the third generation look a lot but until this one gives up on me we're going to keep it rolling. I need to scroll through this thread to see what the record is.

I'm looking into buying a 2005 mazda3 hatch. It's got 199,000 miles on it but in amazing shape. It's a manual 5 speed. They want 5000 for it. I could use some feed back. Thank you

I haven't posted in a few years but I'm up to 285,000 on my '04 Hatch. Lots of tires, a few sets of brakes, couple sets of spark plugs and struts/shocks, lower control arms and oil changes every 10,000 or so. Still the only "major" repair was an intake manifold for $400. There was a TSB for it but I was already out of warranty by that time.
The only bad thing is that my rear wheel arches have severe rust-through due to Michigan winters.

Nothing but routine maintenance. Struts starting to leak and occasional hard runs at the track.

Mods I have done are a CorkSport SRI and a CorkSport CBE w/racepipe. Everything else is still stock. OE brakes and OE clutch from the factory, still hasn't been changed out. Did get a new set of tires though.

I road rally a lot with Rally North America and hasn't skipped a beat at all!
Holy crap! My '12 SGT hatch only has 53,800 miles and it's a full year and a half since you posted this. How do you put so many miles on your vehicle so quickly? How many do you have now?

2006 Mazda3 S Hatch, Touring, Manual, will hit 173,000 miles end of week, when I will drop it off at the dealer as a trade-in for a new 2017 Mazda3 Hatch Grand Touring + Premium Eq. Pckg. Manual I am picking up on the same day.

It has been a great ride, these are the only repairs other than the usual maintenance:

- Passenger side bearing at ~80,000 miles
- Front Struts at ~105,000
- Control Arms and Bushings at ~ 157,000
- Windshield washer fluid pump at ~ 160,000
- Rear shock mount at ~165,000 (the right side one broke due to a HUGE pothole on the highway I did not see at night...)

That was it, and I only had to replace the battery once. Not bad for 11 and half years of New England roads and weather. Unfortunately rust started to show up a years or so ago on both rear wheel archers. Knowing I was going to replace it anyway this year, I did not want to spend money on body work and it got worse quickly,

Other than that, best car I EVER owned. I hope her granddaughter will last as long as she did! :-)

I've made it to 150k without any major repairs, mostly just standard maintenance, but when I rolled 150k it needed some work. Needed front struts and rears were recommended so I did full coilovers. Front control arms were replaced due to bad bushings, added rear adjustable camber arms to compensate for the drop. Flushed and replaced coolant with Mazda fluid.

So my 2008 Mazda 3 has 175K+ miles on it, and when I bought it, I immediately replaced the rotors and the pads, since I didn't like the way they look. It has a replacement Automatic Transaxle in it, and I have NO idea how many miles are on it, but I had to take it in and get some stuff (pan , TCM, and Output Speed Sensor) replaced, but there was nothing mechanically wrong with it.

The car drives like a dream, and the interior is like new, and everything still works. It would appear that someone drove this car a great deal, with no passengers in it. There just isn't the kind of wear and tear anywhere in the car to show that many miles. It is white in color, four door, VERY responsive, and passed the "wife test".

All in all, a car I should be happy with for quite some time. I was frustrated with it at first, but no more. Great car.

Mines a 2012 with just over 300,000 and still runs like a charm with only minor things that have had to be replaced
