data logging fuel pressure with access port help?

Hi, I want to data log my fuel pressure today with the access port and import into excel to do a graph. How should I do it? Setup access port & get on it thru 4th gear? Is there a certain way I should go about doing this so I get an accurate log? I am trying to determine if I need an upgraded fuel pump. Thanks

go into 3rd or 4th gear maintain 3000rpm press log and wait for the screen to say logging then floor it until 6500 rpm. The rest can be found here http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=130114.0

Re: data logging fuel pressure with access port help?

I'm running Stage 2 v1.03 final.

I kept the car at 3k rpm in 4th gear, floored it WOT to redline and then checked my log. My fuel pressure was above 1600 consistently on several runs. There were a few other runs where the FP spiked below 1600 once but was instantly back above 1600. Am I running the stock fuel pump with this map as my Fuel Pressure is staying above 1600?

your fuel pressure is fine, but I don't know about the rest of the data. Post a log.

Thanks, I haven't had a chance to start logging it yet. It will be interesting to see if my fuel pump is going to keep up since I'm at stage 2. Does anyone have a log they could pm me so I could try to make a graph with? Thanks
