Cobb AP Buyers: Post your Dyno Results/Track Results/Driving results here

Hey guys:

I would like to get a thread together where we can see everyones results with the AP so far instead of digging through other peoples posts and then other buyers posting in there too halfway through the thread pages. So here goes, post here any of your results or impressions only if you own the AP. This will not be a trouble shooting thread so refrain from turning it into one. I want numbers or impressions only. This means track times, dyno's, or your overall driving impressions.

Please list the year of your car, your full mod list, what map your running, and what fuel grade your using (ex: 91,93,94).

*Mods and Admin - For whoever it was that locked my other thread and let RonTonkinMazda post a link to another thread that is irrelevant to this, don't do it again. I want this thread here for results only. This thread is not to talk about how mods are working like the other one is or a whole page of people trying to figure out if someones car is running rich or not. There also is no request for dyno's or track times in that thread either but I should not have to sit here and explain myself. I'm looking for numbers only in this thread.

Now back on track. Owners, post away.

Are those Ironbutt or Butterbutt dynos and if so what's the delta percentage-wise, correction factor, temp/humidity, etc? I hesitate to ask for air/fuel ratios and definitely no need to post 'em up for everyone to see unless they're female butt dynos. Then we want to see hi-res pix of the delta.

The a/f's bug me a bit. from about 3-3.5K, the ap says ~13.1 or so but then drops to ~ by 3.8k then proceeds to drop as low as 9.5 by 6k rpm. I'm guessing that the lean condition early in the run is simply delay in the signal from the sensor->ecu->ap. I get that the OTS maps are very conservative and safe but high10's or low 11's would've been better. I'm guessing Cobb tried it and saw no power increase from leaning it out a bit. I also felt a bit of increased tq steer at around 4k rpm but I'm guessing that's due to the tq coming on faster than before. I never had that sensation until after the ap. I don't mind that at all, just mentioning it.

Overall, the car hauls and it's A LOT stronger throughout the power band. It may not have picked up massive peak hp but it definitely feels like it's operating under a much fatter tq curve. it's way more responsive, smoother, etc. all around. I can't wait to test it out at the drag strip.

Obviously, I can't say too much about the a/f's because I'm using the MSCAI so I'll hold off judgment on that until I get a MSCAI compat. map or I get the Cobb SRI.

with this adaptive ecu, there's no real way to test the full capabilities in difference of the cobb tune vs. a stock tung on the same day. maybe after a week or two on the cobb map, dyno then reflash to stock and run but even then the ecu will be running all crazy like.

no, no porn is needed. best to keep this thread on topic since the AP results could be very helpful to us all.

What i really like to know, is ' WHERE IS BOOST ADDICT, AND WHY HAS HE DISAPPEARED WHEN ALL HE WANTED FOR A YEAR WAS THE AP????, he was the main voice of support for Cobb since i joined this forum. His opinions and thoughts over the past have alway's been very thought out and informative, even if i did not alway's agree with him. He is a cool guy, and missed, BOOST where are you?????
