turbo fmu questions

Hi, it has been a wile since I posted but I now in the process of piecing together a turbo kit. My question is: If I am running a T28 turbo at 7to8 psi, what should I upgrade as far as fuel pump or adding FMU or regulator? I figured to upgrade the fuel pump to a 255 Walbro but what else?

I have searched already and can't seem to find the forum for this particular subject. What do you al recommend or know the link to the right area for this? thanks!

Your car has a returnless fuel system. A FMU or regulator will not work on your application. Both are for Return Style fuel systems.

Im boosting my 2.3 currently. And im actually converting the stock returnless fuel system over to a common Return style. That way i can have alot more control over the fueling, and not let the ECU handle all that. But to do so, you need to have your fuel rail modified, run a return line back to the fuel tank, and also re-wire the fuel pump itself so it sees a constant 12v when on.

Yep... all that and a bag of chips...

The reality is that the stock pump will just about satisfy the fuel demands for 7 - 8 psi .... its right on the edge though...

Thanks for the replies! So, I will just try to see if my stock pump will run it. If you had to upgrade, would you go with the Walbro?

Stock pump can handle up to 12 no issues... That's when you start skirting on running out of pressure. A lot depends on the turbo, injector size, etc... You'll be fine until you're not.

I went with a Walbro 250HP for my setup. But thats because with the return setup ill be running, any excess fuel will just find its way back to the tank anyways. So its just better safe then sorry. Im not sure what my Greddy turbo is going to need yet, and figured id just knock out that now instead of having to potentially get into it again down the road.
