long time no post... nothing major going on tbo... had a little trouble getting the OBDII emmisions flags to all set ready... figured it all out after a boat load of driving and the addition of a little resistance to the O2#2 sensor signal,.,,., not all done yet but the flags that are not set had been setting fine prior to my multiple resets so am not to concerned ...

Car driving 100% good and smooth... no leaks in months or material issue... ... getting ready for a 1000+ Mile drive... and the car is packed full of stuff... never intended to drive her like this but such is life

Long time no speak.. A day after my last post I ended up in hospital knocking on heavens door ... Literally ... Doctors basically didn't think I was going to see sunset ... My platelets ( the things that make blood clot ) were all gone and anything like a paper cut or nose bleed would kill me .. Anyhow got a transfusion and in on my feet and moving again and on the mend ... Very very scary .. Has changed me for ever ...

In other news the car passed emissions test today and did 1500 to and from Texas and has another 1500 mile trip in its future ...

Oh yea my head unit ( avic fxxbt ) gave up on me so I decided do go better not flashier .. Got a DEH-80prs .... Not flash single din auto eq tuning and really nice amp ... + bt connectivity .. Basically a low end " I don't care about flash love music " head unit ... Have used it quite a bit and have to say it's really simple and does music / sound really well ... In the process of adding a 600w amp and have a sub in the trunk banging away hahaha weight + boost .... A sure it will keep my tail end on the ground

Holy shit man!!!!!
Glad to hear you're ok.... is the transfusion a permanent fix or just temporary?

The transfusion is a temporary break fix and was done to basically save my life ( unbelievable - I never thought Id ever say that ) and my body is now making platelets again which is great ... Blood tests every week for 6 months to see where it goes... if it stabilizes the tests back off... if i drop again i'm back into the hospital.

I don't have cancer thankfully and it should not come close to killing me again as long as I stay vigilant and apparently there is no impact on life expectancy etc....

kind of puts things in perspective; lying there being told you will, more than likely, not see the sunset or your kids again...

And that same day, my house sale fell apart! My wife had to deal with it all .... and she did... and did it like the boss .... amazing

Any how... list of things to do on the car is now short and unimportant.... Endlinks need replacing and I need to finish off the audio install ( wire up the amp and re-run power bla bla bla.. )

I think once money frees up a tad ill go get here professionally tuned at last... lol... she moves right now and the power band is really wide - have not found her running out of steam at any speed range = low or very very high = she keeps pulling ) but its just not where it should be and i do not have the xp to finish the tuning job off.... there is a performance shop near me OR ill schedule time with DT on my next run to TX and nail it then .... running at 16 PSI right now and think ill bang it up to 20 and be done ....
