Interested in a Bay Area All Mazda Meet?

I'm posting to see who would be interested in an all-Mazda meet hosted by Hayward Mazda here in the Bay Area.
www.haywardmazda.com

They are a brand new, exclusively Mazda dealership. I brought my car in for service yesterday and came away very pleased with the experience. They provide a comfortable waiting area (complete with an in-house coffee shop!), spacious state-of-the art service bays and full detailing services.

I mentioned our Mazda community and the Service Director says they are very interested in supporting Mazda Enthusiasts and would like to hold an all-Mazda meet at their huge dealership.

Food, parking and activities would be provided. It would be a great opportunity to get to know your fellow Mazda owners, go behind the scenes of a Mazda service center, show off your rides and get ideas for your next mod!

In terms of scheduling, we're thinking Saturday or Sunday, the 12th or 13th of August.

Please let me know if you're interested and if one day works better than the other. I'll try to post this on other Mazda forums and see what others think.

***UPDATED*** to include poll.

Re: Interested in a Bay Area All Mazda Meet?

You say it's an exclusively Mazda dealership? I didn't think Mazda had enough sales to warrant a dealership that stood on its own. Around my area, Mazda is buddied up with Hyundai and Subaru at one dealership, at another, it's with Jeep, Chrysler and Isuzu. Are they a Mazdaspeed dealership?

I might be interested, especially if they are relaxed about mods. Although I think that I may hafta plan a trip to see my dad in Central California before the summer is over and I'm back in school.

LOL, is there a quota on meets or something? :P
Anyway, this one is a month away, so plenty of time!

Yes. I'm just as surprised as you are. It reminds me of where I bought my 3 (Tracy Mazda) which is another Mazda exclusive dealership. I asked them when I was there and they confirmed they are a Mazdaspeed dealership.

Re: Interested in a Bay Area All Mazda Meet?

Thanks all for your responses so far. This meet will only happen if enough of you show some interest! I'm planning to get back in touch with the Service Director on Monday to let him know if it's a go / no go.

I think this can be a really fun yet laid back event where we can build a good relationship with a local (for most of us ) dealership and meet fellow enthusiasts.

So, keep posting if you are interested and I will start a new thread with specifics on the meet with a signup and more details once we get the green light!
