roll, 3mm spacer to clear strut, and around -3* camber should do the trick. and yeah will look ridiculous at stock height or even just lowered on springs. oh and i run a 215/35/18 on my 18x9.5

Thanks, that's really helpful to know! What offset are your wheels? And wouldn't the spacers make the wheel stick out even more than needed?

front is 18x9.5 +22 rear is -3. and yes but you may need it to clear strut. as stated above i know a +35 will clear but idk about a +38. thats why a 3mm spacer will do the job perfectly

just a thought.. you are talking about clearing the strut, but lax, arent you on coils? hes on stock suspension. ive heard the stock struts are way beefier than coils. might need a bigger spacer to clear then correct?

Curious what coilovers you run that 9.5 +38 wont even clear. I fit a 17x9 +48 on and it clears the strut by a credit card. That would mean a 9.5 +40 would fit the same if not a little more room so 9.5 +38 should clear pretty easy. You need a spacer ontop of that though?

Default 18x9.5 wheels on Mazdaspeed 3 (2008.5)?

tire size matters. I couldn't clear 8.5 +48 with 245s.

That was me, and yes its very close, I had to use a 215/40 tire, a 225 wouldn't fit.

so how dangerous is it to drive a 215/40/18 stretched on a 18x9.5? i do like stretched tires but i dont want them to be so thin that it can easily pop if u hit a pothole or nail.. should i be worried much and consider going to 225?

and if i do choose 225 over 215, will it be a problem to put 225/40/18 on the MS3 stock rims (normally wears 215/45/18)?
