Default 2005 owners...NGK spark plugs, ITR6F13 or ITR5F13?

I noticed my car (2005 2.3) came with ITR5F13. Manual states ITR5F13 as well.

Yet when I look up spark plugs on www.ngk.com, it lists ITR6F13 as being the ones for my year.

So which is it?

Any 2005 owners, what did yours come with? I did read about a TSB for "Hard Start" that mentions using the ITR5F13 instead of ITR6F13 to help the issue, but the TSB was for 2004 models.

either one should be fine.
id probably go for the 6f if its at all modified.
that one is the stock plug the 5f run is one heat range hotter
to burn possible contaminants from the plug,.
mine were changed to the 5 version
at the dealer due to some cel back in 05
i changed them myself to an autolite plat.
with just the standard reccomend plug
with no difference.

The 6F is one step "colder" than the 5F. A colder plug is better if you drive the car hard but is more susceptible to fouling if the car is idled a lot, never sees above 3k RPMs, etc.

Mine came with the 5F too, and I don't see a reason to switch to the new recommendation unless you're getting any knocking in really hot weather on 87 octane and/or drive very aggressively. If you do, switching to the 6F may help a little. The main reason not to switch when replacing plugs on an 04-05 would be if you drive really conservatively and/or idle the car for long periods, because you may see fouling with the 6F that you aren't getting with the 5F.

Yeah, I'm not having any issues with the 5F, so I may just stick to it.

Just weird having two sources listing both plugs as a replacement.

Yeah, they'll probably provide the best efficiency for the car if you're not getting any knock.
