Default Replacing the PCV valve

Hello,
I have a 2006 Mazda 3i. My engine has been stalling every time I come to a stop. The mechanic checked and no error codes are showing up. Someone told me that I should try replacing the PVC valve and that I can do this on my own.

The only problem is that I can't find it. Any clues as to where it would be would be and how to get to it extremely helpful. Pics would be awesome, too.

By the way, Autozone sold me part #PCV1016. That's what came up for this car. It may be the completely wrong part.

Thanks in advance!

You have to take out the intake manifold to get to it. Its hidden behind it. This is a picture of the motor as you would be looking at it from the front of the car, only stripped. That orange thing is our PCV valve.

I don't think you actually have to take the whole engine out. I think you just take the intake manifold off.

Exactly. I have taken the intake manifold a few times... it's not too difficult but time consuming.

Might as well remove the VTCS while your're in there...
