Default Speed3 K&N SRI Dyno results.

Same dyno and same operator in 4th gear for all. Power moved up in the powerband which is better in this car and makes it so much more fun to drive.

K&N SRI: 255 whp and 272 wtq

Cobb SRI: 250 whp and 285 wtq
Stock: 225 whp and 257 wtq

K&N peak torque of 272 was higher in powerband(4400rpm) than Cobb where peak torque of 285 was at 3200rpm. Every dyno is different so peak hp and tq results will vary. Since I used baseline on same dyno, it really shows how an SRI can add so much hp and tq to these cars. Cobb SRI was great all that torque down low was pretty much useless since it would just spin the tires at low speed and tug when in tight twisties. K&N power delivery more gradual and in the mid-upper rpm range which is better imo and makes the car more fun to drive.

Is the intake the only mod on this car?

yes just intake. K&N claim of +25 whp pretty much spot on.

thank-you.

I noticed a significant gain with my K&N SRI, this proves it.

so 25whp from any intake IS CRAZY GOOD. what im wondering is if i put on a k&n sri on my mz3, not ms3, would i have as big gains as this dyno shows? probably not right? im getting a simota sri CBII right now....but im really curious if it might be possible to gain anything NEAR 25whp if i were to get the cobb sri or K&N sri???

On a non-turbo, not even close. You'd be really lucky if you got 5 out of an SRI.
