~Andrew1501's Dyno Thread~

2005 Mazda 3 2.0l w/ 4spd auto
-injen intake w/aem dryflow&injen hydrosock
-advanced timing 4degrees
-grounded tb
-f2 racepipe
-f2 2.5" t-304 stainless steel exhaust w/4" tip

Alright so i've got the basic bolt-ons without the header simply because i really dont feel like dealing with neighbors, cops, and the inspection guys from the CEL. I went in to House of Boost today to get a baseline dyno from Erik on an Dynocom Eddy-Current Load Dyno for the bolt-ons. (Jpeg will be up soon, only hardcopy for now!!!)

Temp:73.8degrees Pressure: 27.93 Hg Humidity: 27% CF: 1.09 Dyno CF: 1.00

Run #1
-Max HP: 124.5 @6k
-Max Tq: 118.7@4.8k

Run #2
-Max HP: 123.5@6k
-Max Tq: 118.3@4.5k

Run #3
-Max HP: 121.0@5.8k
-Max Tq: 116.3@4.7k

????????----(Sorry dont have pics up yet) but why is my car maxing out at around 6k?? isnt everyone elses around 6.5-6.8k? When i hard shift regularly i can take it up to a little below 7k and be fine but the dyno graph is showing my fuel cut at 6.5k. It was just a little wierd.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the power output as i expected it to be low since it is the 2.slow and 4spd auto, but it was raining the day before and i put my crappy tires on and decided to mess around a bit. Doesnt the computer remove power to help with traction?-not sure but i heard this somewhere, and wasnt sure if that would have effected the dyno readings

Anyways I just wanted to post this up to see if my cutout was normal and also how does the dyno read? Low, high, compared to dynojets, mustang dynos? Dont know much about dynos if someone could chime in.

Thanks!

i have a 06 3 i atx too and im impressed with the power and the mods. i was always wondering about how much our cars could actually put down this at least gives me a pretty good base.

Thanks man I actually wasn't too pleased with the results, hoping for the 130's in whp and 120's in wtq. But if you think about it, it is the 2.0 and the 4spd auto so 20% drivetrain loss that's about right.

yea once i saw yours i was like hopefully i can get 130whp. but without headers i dont think its possible. im still undecided on headers i kno it will be louder but i dont want it to be super loud so i dont know.

yeah thats why i havent purchased headers, just really don't wanna deal with it, besides thats just more low end i will lose.

By the way you can reach 130whp easy, purchase a cp-e standback, people are getting about 15-20 whp increases. Or do what im doing this week and contact dynotronics, he is giving reflashes made by piasini giving people with bolt ons 20+ more whp and about the same for wtq.

ok.. the fact that you had only power till 6500 and fuel cut later.. well could be from a symple dyno set up.. dyno's read rpm from spark.... so they attach a sensor by ur spark plug.. on the wires. .sometimes isolation might confuse it and instead of showing 7k rpm.. it will show 6500

thanks man, but it didnt have any wires attached to the spark. It was an eddycurrent load dyno and he set the load and floored it and it cut out at 6500. idk maybe our tachs are off or something or his is just off. But by 700 rpm?
