MS3 is a nice commuter car, reasonably utilitarian with the 5 door layout. But as a 'fast' car it is getting old (MS3, 2 yrs old) due to the horrible torque steer. Every hard launch is a wiggle-fest down the road. Well, I guess lower power would not be the answer - so maybe better geometry or AWD for the next MS3 iteration would be okay by me boys and girls.
Is it just me? Or is this a growing irritation for others? |

Every hard launch is a wiggle-fest down the road...[/quote] Don't "hard launch", it's not a musclecar. Drive it with skill and finesse (the way it was meant to be driven).

Just a suggestion but if I do want to hard launch it and counter the torque steer, I put my left hand on the wheel at about 2 o'clock. This makes it easier to just put some down pressure on the wheel and keep it straight. 12 o'clock and anywhere lower on the left side of the wheel and you have little chance of countering it.

Must have some bad roads where you live...cause i've had mine for 2 years and rarely see bad torque steer issues.

Torque steer got my attention once - hard acceleration entering freeway from curvy onramp with concrete-to-asphalt transition.
