Hello, i have searched through this forum but can't come to a solution so i would imagine this is a very unusual problem with my 2005 mazda3. In my front passenger side suspension, i often get a 'tac-tac' noise when going over humps, something which my mechanics can't figure out. I have spent an awful lot of money fitting in new shock absorbers, changing the rack ends as well as the stabilizer links but the noise is still there! Has anyone come across this problem? Please help;(

look at the passenger mount (next to coolant tank) to see if rubber is broken. Look for resulting oil spill on the frame, from the broken mount.

i had a front sway bar endlink go bad on the front due to the little dust boot getting cut and the lubricant leaking out, which made a clunking noise when going over any bumps. to diagnose on my car the broken endlink had some play in it, so you could move it ever so slightly back and forth (the good endlink was rock solid in comparison).

Please refer following link(TSB for MZ3 2004) which could describe Strut Mount Rubber problem. http://www.protegefaq.net/tsb/02-002-05.html |

Check out the brakes....i had the same problem w/ mine and the mechanics couldn't figure out what it was until one of them disassembled the front and rear brakes and noticed that they were not held in place properly.....he ended up glueing the pad in......i have ceramic pads w/ a lifetime warrantee so they won't need to be replaced again

^^^ Lifetime warrantee doesn't mean that they are going to last a lifetime. hope you know that. they are warranteed for a lifetime not to fail or break or something like that but not to wear out like all breaks/parts do. so you will be replacing them at somepoint down the road.
