MAZDA 3 ROUGH IDLE FIXED

I HAVE AN 05 MAZDA 3 2.0 ROUGH IDLE STALLING AT LIGHTS, POOR THROTTLE RESPONSE. ANYWAY I CLEANED THE EGR VALVE DIDNT FIX,
RUN BOTTLE OF SEAFOAM IN TANK DIDNT FIX IT. I HAD A CEL FOR RICH THAN LEAN AND A O2 SENSOR SO CHANGED THE 02 SENSOR AND RESET ECU
STILL DIDNT FIX. I TOOK THE EVAP SOLENOID OUT AND SPRAYED WITH PB BLASTER AND LET IT SIT THEN RESPRAYED, BLEW IT OUT WITH AIR RE-INSTALLED PROBLEM GONE. THROTTLE RESPONSE IS AWESOME AGAIN AND FUEL COMSUMPTION ALOT BETTER. THANKS FOR THE GREAT TIPS ON THIS FORUM, HAS BEEN ALOT OF HELP

egg also wants to know..where is evap solenoid and whats it look like? eggs car idle like old man pulling rickshaw uphill backwards

Had the exact same problem. Idle would dip at stops, a couple of times the rpm went so low it almost stalled, when it would do this the check engine light would come on for a split second. Anyway I took out the EVAP SOLENOID which was super easy to remove, sprayed it out with pb, let it sit, and blew it out. Idle is back to normal =] Thanks for the help "JOECO"

where is the evap solenoid located at? also how it looks like? a picture would help. but if not please explain..
