you could tint your windows according to the law, and put a 5% strip on the windshield and it might make it appear to be darker. i currently have 15% around, i was gonna go with 20 on the front and 5 on the rear but decided i wanted it to match so it doesnt look awkward. i havent had any problems as of yet with cops, and parking at night sucks balls, i have to roll down my windows to see out of my mirror most of the time....sorry no pics at this time!

I love my 15%

^ And dont forget cops in our area are anal about tint, especially Newtown.

Dude hate to say it, but I'm in Bucks County with 15% tint and I get absolutely no problems whatsoever, even when I'm driving through Newtown. You only have to worry about tint really in Warwick.

Yes! I do not want to even think about getting pulled over for it.

I highly doubt you will, I'm from Bucks brotha. Where in Bucks are you two from?

5% in the back and 15% in the front. I live in california and haven't had any cop troubles even when they pull next to me on a stop light. You can't go wrong with those percents your going to love them. I do at least

I'm in Southampton, but spend 90% of my time in Philly between work and the girlfriend.

I'm pretty sure Window Tint is a secondary offense also. So unless you are doing something else wrong then they can't just pull you over for that.

A lot of times they know its BS. but seriously I have 20% in CA and have yet to be pulled over. It only looks dark in the shadows or at night, otherwise you can still see inside the car pretty good.

If you have 35% even at night a theif would be able to put his head upto the window and see through it

Thinking about getting some window tint but un sure with what to go with. Could you guys post some pics of 20% and 35% window tint so I get a good idea of the difference. Also it does not matter with the cops because my dad (a doctor) hooked me up with a eye perscription saying I need the tint. Also your opinions would be awesome! Thanks.

I have a light sensitivity, got a doctors approval, but the DMV said no, did you get it cleared with both. I was told by police they do not go by doctors notes because you can wear sunglasses.

Depends on your state. In Washington (where I'm from), it specifically states in Washington State law that all you need is a doctor's note stating your sensitivity to light. Doesn't matter what the DMV or the police say--although I did check with the DMV too and they were cool with it. But I have an interesting situation in that I'm now traveling all around the country, and not sure what cops in other states will try to say if they pull me over for it, even though I have both my doctor's note and the law printed out on hand for them.

My windows are tinted at 20% all around and it's pretty much perfect. A little light in the day, but when it's dark it's almost impossible to see inside the car. I don't really have any trouble driving at night, though. So it's a good balance overall.

I just did 50% on the rear windshield, and 20% on the rear driver and passenger windows. With the 35% on the front driver and passenger.

It's plenty dark for me, and I don't struggle at all seeing out the back window at night.

[quote author=Galvatron link=topic=146274.msg3169459#msg3169459 date=1244569802]

I want 50% for a few reasons. I don't want any problems parallel parking at night, which I do a lot of. Also, I want to be able to see into my car at night. I park in some not so great areas sometimes, and if the tint is so dark you can't see in, thieves assume you're hiding expensive gear and smashy smashy.
