Light (orange ring) around cigarette lighter won't light up?

I recently installed footwell LED strips and since then, maybe before, the orange ring around the cigarette lighter won't light up. I don't remember if it lit up before the install, I know it's supposed to, so I'm wondering what could have happened. I did tap into the power and ground from the cigarette lighter to power the LED strips and they work fine, as does the cigarette lighter for powering whatever. Any input would be appreciated, now that I noticed it, it looks like a blank spot on my center console.

I don't think mine ever lit up... it does look kinda like it's supposed to though...

It does light up. I was tinkering in there on Saturday. Check your wiring and ensure the wire harness is clipped in place. There are 2. 1 for the ligher, 1 for the lighted ring.

Maybe the bulb is done then? If the connections are secure and everything else works I can't imagine what else it would be.
