Default 08 MS3 Oil leak from rear main seal

:x hi all, had the car for about 3 wks. and 518 miles. went to install MS3 Cold Air Intake and there it was an OIL LEAK betweent the engine and transmission. Super clean, light honey color oil. I can't believe it.

Here is the topper. The dealer gave me a loaner (I think Mazda pays for it) at the Enterprise Rent a Car down the street. The car they gave me ---KIA RIO. What a crapper

If I had bought a Toyota I would have gotten nothing, Yes I know but a Kia Death trap. Lowest safety rated car on the market. I hope they fix my oil leak FASSSSSST.

Any one have this problem with oil leak? Is it common? My car is COMPLETELY STOCK. all input appreciated. Thanks

i would have complained to the service manager until they caved and gave me a cx7 or another 3. no way i would have drove a rio off the lot. thats ridiculous. you bought a mazdaspeed. you should be treated better, imo.

I have the leak between the tranny and engine as well since I bought the car - its an 08.5 MS3. It's more likely that the oil pan was not sealed properly - not the rear main

Yea, mine was the oil pan gasket. Took them about a day cause they put on a new gasket and the guy told me they need the rest of the day for it to dry. The tech told me that when the car's were made, the machine that spits out the liquid gasket doesn't piss out enough and it's a common problem with the 3's (Speed and regular).
