If you have had a mount failure, make sure you file a complaint to the NHTSA.
File online here: https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/ Or call the DOT Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 and a NHTSA representative will record your complaint information. |

What is also interesting in the data, is the time between occurances. Looking strictly at the U.S. data: From December through January we averaged 1 failure every 30 days. From February through April we averaged 1 failure every 20 days. From May till now, we have been averaging 1 failure every 9 days.
most likley due to more cars flooding market and people putting miles on them. Thanks, good info. Should be a sticky.

Can you add under each one whether or not they added an after market rear mount and which mount broke.

Can you add under each one whether or not they added an after market rear mount and which mount broke.
I'm a bit fed up of hearing this. The mount DID NOT BREAK. The bolt came out loose causing the engine to fall. and it comes loose because a piece of rubber gets in between 2 plates and with the rebound effect causes the bolt to be under torqued and it slowly unscrews up to the point of snapping/getting out completely. And it's all mount #3 as they call it, driver's side transmission mount.

It'd be nice to know the build dates of those cars, how many miles they have, and any mods done. Like others have said, the fact that more are being reported has far too many confounding variables, mainly due to increased numbers on the road, more time for abuse, etc.

still aint worried over here if it happens it happens (just underwarranty plaease!!)
but thats what 11 us out of 5,000 and 13 worldwide out fo 12000. Seams pretty good. And a better track record than say the mazdaspeed clutch issue. or the tundra motor dying. or the old one the chevy avalanches where on the raio they annouced for everyone to stop driving there trucks asap. as in once they heard the annoucment they were to park that moment and call a tow truck (the suspension was failing and possible to fall out) But goon info, and still a decent percentage otu of whats there. |
