ok, well I just finished replacing cv axles, been cold as fuck here, my garage slabis coated in a thick layer of condensate. wish it was clean and I was not busy, I would scrub it with dawn and pressure wash it.
anyway after the cv debacle I have it backed into the sun and have the seat out etc that foam thing under the blower case is the target I assume??
wish there was a decent how to on this topic

I did get the pipes free from the firewall joints, fiddly it was 6-2 190 cursed with big hands
wish me luck goin in now

I have also just come to adding AC knowledge to my skill set, aquired after the fan I added to run during stop and go traffic chewed a hole in my condensor.
I brazed that shut, and it held for a year, but had to replace it when I couldn't get it to seal the second time.6 months later, the compressor pulley bearing failed on a trip and tore the coil apart.
I've since replaced the oem and one discount acparts compressors, and about to install the 2nd, I replaced dryers both times, and flushed a bit the second time.
this time I better check it end to end
Question. do you have any pics of your expansion valve mission? I was going to pay a guy, but he wanted 400 to flush/ install the compressor/dryer/ex valve/ vac and charge.
proly not a bad price, but I watched him do a vac/charge for me. and i read about this insulation around the core and dunno about his attention to detail.
give me a buzz if your cool with that 8133621631
