Complete List of Known Mount Failures

Is this still an issue? I just bought an 09 MS3 and soon after just 200 miles I got into a bit from first (not real hard, maybe half throttle at best) and shifted (probably at 5 grand but stayed well clear of the red line) and I heard this huge loud BANG under the hood. Almost like the whole engine lifted up and hit the bottomside of the hood. Last night, now 300 miles on it, it did it again and when i pulled into my garage I heard these weird sounds coming from the engine bay. I opened my door and curious to see if it was an engine noise, I revved the engine slightly to see if the sounds were in rhythm with the rpm's. They weren't.

About 20 seconds later the smaller clinky sounds went away and never came back.

I'm at work this morning but was scared to drive it in, but did... nothing seemed wrong. No noises. I've been reading on forums about mounts all morning but seems to be issues with all kinds of them, #3, #4, rear motor mount, tranny mount. I don't even know what or where to look and can't even replicate the sounds. The were random. But those bangs, wow, they were LOUD!
