Thats awesome. I saw when my car had 666 as the mileage but couldn't stop to take a pic, was a shame.

Of course I did.  The blinker is from the hazard flashers.

I was clocking ridiculous mileage for my first two months of ownership. And then I promptly parked the car for the better part of a month.

But way back in week 5 of ownership I snapped these shots. :)

I'm not sure if anyone would ever need it, but I have a big-ass high-rez version of the second pic at http://krupo.blogspot.com/2005/12/eight-of-kind.html

Edit: the two images aren't popping up despite the fact that the code is here. Here's the links without the IMG code in case they're not loading here.

And could someone let me know if it's mazda3forums or blogger that's giving me trouble?

Edit #2... so *now* it works? And all I had to do was experience this error message:
"ERROR

Weird.

Hmmm, i wonder if you will reset your trip odo at 8,000 miles so you can get 888.8 at 8,888 total miles.....

I was thinking about taking a picture of all 9's before it rolled over to five digits, but I forgot to set it up to work out that way.  I guess I'll have to wait until 99,999 miles and 999 on the odometer.

Assuming you haven't rolled past it yet, when your odometer hits 3000 miles, reset your trip odo.

That's the basic rule; to get the series of numbers you want, get that many thousand miles on the odo and then reset the trip odo to fill in the rest.

And if you want 123.4 on the trip odo and 12345 on the total odo - make sure you reset at 12222 miles :p

I passed 33333 a few weeks ago and it was cool, but I didn't think its a big deal lol. I usually do not really pay attention to numbers on the odo except on road trips.
What's the use of happiness? It can't buy you money.

Heh, my first car was about to to over 100K miles - and I was going to take a picture of it.

At 99,998 miles, my all-digital-GM-dashboard caught on fire.  Sucks.

A picture of the dashboard on fire     would have been much more entertaining than a pic of the odometer at 100K.   :oh:

It wasn't really as intense as you are picturing.  The display just went blank and a lot of grey smoke (that cool grey smoke you get when you wire electronics up incorrectly) came out of the steering column.

At 100,002 my power steering pump went out... that was fun too.

GM sucks.

GM sucks.

Yeah, I was going to say... ;)

Also, my trip B odo hasn't been reset since I started on this stupid photo quest, so if I'm in a situation where I can take more shots, I just might. :)
