They're a lotttt of women with G sedans. The people in the 328i usually had it given to them or couldn't afford the 335i.

and let me guess.. the A4 is a rugged mans car?

No, it's not. A lot of teens, men and women buy them, exactly like the G35 and 328i.

Not everyone wants a turbo motor you dumbasses, it has nothing to do with not being able to afford it. Most 328s run over 40k with the options as it is! The 328 and 335 are both great cars, and are about the best four door sedans around.

Anyway, while the Infiniti is quicker, the BMW is the better handling and more refined vehicle, and has better resale value in the long run.

It's a bit bigger than both of the cars you mentioned but did you consider am Acura TL?  The Type-S looks sick IMO and is a car you could through some springs on and let it be.  Also, a Subaru Legacy GT can be had for about $25-28k brand new w/ leather and what not and is a nice car, quick, boxer engine, good reliability, and fairly inexpensive mods thanks to the WRX/STI market.

The TL is a great car. Ive driven all 3, I would choose the TL over the other two. Especially the type-s.

BMW hands down.  I've heard a lot of people become unimpressed with the G35 rather quickly.  You'd have to search around as I dont know any specifics.  Not only that, but I was never a fan of the G35 sedans.

BMW on the other hand has pretty timeless styling and has always had a sort of luxury sports car aura about it.  They also have a deal with the first 4 years of maintenance is free, but I dont know if that extends to you because you're buying used.

To me:  G35 sedan = middle aged cruiser.  BMW 3-series = young professional sport sedan.

sorry. if you get a 3series and its not a 335i you are lame.

and obviously you havent driven a G35 sedan.  faster and handles better than the coupe

Why did you quote me?  I never said anything about getting a 328 over 335, nor did I say anything specific about the G35 or claim that I've driven one.

faster than a lighter coupe? huh

and, not all of us can afford ... or are willing to afford a 335.  If I wanted hp I wouldn't be looking at an 07 328 and g35.  There are plenty cars you can get for less that are either faster or easily modded to be faster.  Sadly, one of the major selling points of the 328 over the 35 was it's slightly better gas mileage ...

I really do like the TL, but they are a bit more pricey than the 328 and g35 I was looking at.  I am starting to think about bumping up my limit though, as far as price goes.

and I really like the legacy gt b spec ... it's hard to find though

Not a bad price for the spec B.  I hate the OEM spoilers on that car though.

Here's my take on those two cars

3series - I think they look great, it does look more refined. However, I hate what they've done with the back, it's become generic compared to the older signature taillight design. It's definitely more of a driver's car. Oh, by the way, most certainly you'll be labeled with the title "douchebag" or "tool" or things like that. You may not be one, but most BMW drivers are sunglasses wearing douchebags that are either dumb enough to blow their entire savings on a new BMW, or bought it with their parents' money. If you dont mind being stereotyped, get the BMW.

Gseries - I never liked them. Those things grunts everywhere. I hate Infinite/Nissan interiors, they're plastic galore. I sat in a QX56 for a Tahoe trip once, while that thing was built like a tank and it certainly felt like it could just plow through anything, I couldn't stand the interior. Anything that wasnt covered with leather was grade-A plastic. People are right when they say you WILL be bored with the car fast. The design is uninspiring inside and out. And again, those things grunts everywhere.

So if you can stand the general first impression of stepping out of a BMW, get the BMW. You'll be happier. As far as reliability goes, of course JDM wins. But still, a car should be fun.

Kind of like when I was debating on an economy car way back then. Mazda3 vs Corolla vs Civic. Sure the Corolla and Civic are more fuel efficient and can probably go 20,000miles without an oil change and still be fine. But their design was uninspiring, and they drove like... well the car just went places, that was it. Mazda3 on the other hand, it's not fuel efficient as an economy car, it's probably less reliable than the Corolla or Civic, but man is it fun to drive! (again, for an economy car). And by the way, if you really take care of your car, not much can happen to it, engines nowadays kind of take care of themselves if you dont drive it through the wall. I am closing in on 100,000miles on my 3, and I dont have a problem whatsoever, except for AC going out and getting a new one. My car still drives like the day I bought it.

Get one that will make you want to turn around and look at it one last time before you go into your house.
