Due to bad weather we have decided to reschedule the Cinci/NKY meet and cruise to 4/19/09. we apologize for the inconvenience. We have had 1 bad accident in the past due to cruising during bad weather, I would rather keep us safe and take a bit more than 2 weeks to go ahead and continue the meet in a better climate.

Hello to all!

We at the Cincy/Nky RX-8 club have been planning a spring meet and grill for

couple months.

Here is the Info:

3/29/09

MEET & GRILL

Devou Park

We will meet at the top parking lot of Devou Park.

Directions:

1) If you are coming South on I-75 you will get off of the first exit when you
cross the bridge. It is exit 192, 5th Street, Covington/Newport. When you
get off the exit you will immediately have to go right or left. You want to
go to the right toward Ludlow. Turn right at the stop sign. Go through 1
stop sign and you will be right in front of a Hampton Inn. As soon as you
pass it Western Ave will be on the left. Turn left onto Western Ave.
Follow the road till you see a sign for Devou Park. There is a small green
sign on a pole on the left or there is a bigger one on the right. You will
make a real sharp right hand turn which will point you in the direction you
just came. Make sure you keep going to the right and you will find yourself
at the top of the lookout with a large parking lot in front of you. We will
be there.

2) If you are coming North on I-75
Take exit 192, 5th Street Covington, Newport
Turn Left at the light.
At the second light turn left onto 3rd Ave.
Stay right till you pass the Hampton Inn
Turn left onto Western Ave. Go about .75 miles
Take SHARP Right into Devou Park and keep going toward the right till you
are at the top.

TIME

3 PM

CRUISE

To be decided (Please post Ideas)

Current idea: Route 8 from Devou Park up heading to Indiana

by the OH river.

AFTER CRUISE

Turn around and head over to Willie's Sports Café for those

who would like some beers and more food.

If anyone has any recommendations please post up!

There is enough time to plan ahead.

If anyone have any questions please let us know

It should be a great time to chill and hang out

With our local Car aficionados.

It is open to all car enthusiasts so please pass the word!

Last time we had some cars getting lost ... so if you have

2 way radios... bring them with you!!

Update:
I just wanted to let everyone know that the cruise will take place along side the ohio river heading to a little town called rabbit hash and back. The roads heading to the town are perfect for the cruise so dont forget to bring you cameras haha

I'd like to but it depends on the weather and stuff I have to install yet. Looks like a 4 hour drive may not be in the works but not sure yet.

well just let me know so then we could maybe get a mini caravan headed down there. ill ask kris if hes going to make it. he me he was waiting on his camber kit yesterday so if he can get that installed and get an alignment come saturday then he might go.

we are working on weather changes! there is a possibility it gets postponed for 2 weeks!

Well, keep us updated.

Looks like 40* and possible rain showers today. Fun fun fun... Two weeks, my Mazda3 might be running again. And I'll need a nice long drive to break in the new clutch. :D

I'm not sure if ill be able to go. That's the same weekend as mazdafest in indiana. Which ill be out there friday & saturday & then possible sunday.

Glad it's postponed! I thick I'm game for this on my way back home from Mazdafest in Indy. It only adds less than an hour drive onto the time. Two meets in one weekend FTW
