aminzer's build....501whp
« on: February 15, 2009, 03:05:07 AM »
well i figured id make a thread cause its 3am and i cant sleep lol. its been a really really really long adventure with this car, starting like 2 years ago when i first turbo'd it 30 min later blew out my automatic tranny, had that built, blew the engine, built the engine, swapped to 6 speed, doing all the conversions like cable throttle and wiring a universal aem and what not. i figure at this point i have way too much money in this car prolly almost more than anyone has put into a street mazda 3 and im prolly still not done. I dont think i could have afforded it had i not worked at a shop where most everything was cost pricing, and doing all the labor myself. Than just recently finally getting out all the bugs and running 20psi thru my gt28r the car was feeling strong prolly around 350whp at the time...and than blew the welds on the shitty weapon r intake manifold. Now today i just bolted on my gt35r well little more than bolt on but just started tunning for 20psi on that and than re cracked the manifold so i guess its time for a cosworth. but other than that i feel like ive learned a lot from all of this and should be able to set the new highest hp record for a street mazda 3 even including speeds.

mods so far:
garrett gt35r
hiboost manifold
tial 38mm wastegate
3in down pipe
hks high power exhaust
qtp electric exhaust cutout
Vibrant Front Mount Intercooler
hks ssqv bov
1000cc RC Engineering Peak and Hold Injectors
Cosworth Intake Manifold
eagle rods
arias pistons
custom billet crank
crower valve springs and retainers
crower stage 2 cams
cfm adj cam gears
6 speed tranny swap
spec stage 5 clutch
aem universal standalone engine managment
cable throttle body conversion
msd coils
aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with return line
16 gal fuel cell
dual walbro 255lph fuel pumps
plus more... thats the major stuff

heres a couple of pics first one is a little teaser from today with the new turbo

engine bay with old turbo

custom gauge cluster i made

6 speed

and thats it for now will update with new pics later and some vids

here is some exterior pics of the car

blown stock block

figure i add a vid this is a crappy cell phone vid at 20 psi on the gt28r untuned

pic on micky thompson slicks hehe

350hp pull

me vs 400hp+ srt 4

o yea thats been my goal to hit 600whp.... i dont see why i cant, i mean i have all the same shit for the most part as xenon929 did same turbo...but i have headwork and cams, which alot of turbo cars can pick up anywhere from 50 to 100 whp from cams so i figure 600 on race should be easily accomplished

^ has some truth to it. david might just finally murder me for this one but i enjoyed it  i still have the video we took when we fired up for the first time and it started after tearing down every inch of the drivetrain, getting the motor built, and putting it back in. THAT was the best feeling ever

especially since this is the first car ive ever modded. (hell, first car ive had period. :quiet:)
