First and foremost, my impressions.
1. The stock shiftboot is thin and a piece of crap. (see below)
.jpg)
The one from Shiftstyle.com is very thick and TOP QUALITY!! It actually makes the gear shifts quieter because the thick leather acts as an insulator.
2. The fittment on this is PERFECT if you have a stock shifter. If you have an STS, you will need to order the shorter shift boot from them, otherwise the material will bunch up.
3. The only tough part of the install is removing the plastic cap from the stock boot and re-installing it on the new shift boot. You will need some superglue or similar.
Now, to the install: (all pictures taken from passenger seat. Also, I had installed the boot already and then went back and did the how to, so all pictures include the new shift boot.)
Step 1:
Remove cup holder. Open center console and pull up on the front portion.

Step 2:
Unscrew Shift Knob (remember, righty tighty, lefty loosey)

Step 3:
Remove shift boot console

Step 4:
Remove 4 screws pictured to remove shift boot

Step 5:
Remove shift boot and remove plastic cup. The cup is glued in, so just pull the stock shift boot away. Don't worry about a little ripping.

Step 6:
Install plastic cup in shift boot (feed it in from the bottom). Put a small bead of super glue around the top and fold over the leather.

Step 7:
Reinstall the boot. Pull the slots in the leather over the plastic tabs in the shift console and replace the 4 screws.

Step 8:
Put shift boot back over the gear lever.

Step 9:
Replace cup holders

DONE. Total time is approximately 20 minutes. Very easy install.
This is a stellar piece and very well made. All the stitches are straight and very tight. I am extremely pleased with it. For those that are wondering, I ordered black alcantara with red stitching.
