If you take a look at your owners manual it will clearly tell you what octane to run. Higher octane fuels are not needed unless the motor is designed for it. This has been debated over and over and over again till people are blue in the face. The only real time you need to rais the octane on your motor otherwise would be if its starting to ping on the current octane fuel your using, which usily changes with altitude requirements.

This is for a Mazda 3 in its stock form of course without FI

They really call that trim level the "Maxx Sport" over there? Interesting.

And yes, like Youngun said, stick to whatever minimum octane your owner's manual recommends. Higher octane is just a waste of money if the engine isn't pinging with the lowest octane gas. BTW, over here the 2.0L only calls for 87 octane, not 91.

Wow Maxx Sport, really! That's kinda cool for trim name.
