Talking Rear Shock Mounting Bolt Help

Hello All,

I recently broke one of the mounting bolts for the rear shocks in my 2008 Mazda. I am going to have to drill out the remaining nut and break off the welded head so I can put a new bolt in. Does anyone have any advice as if I should weld it back on again or can I get by without it being welded?
I do not have a welder and would have to take it to the shop. Would it be safe to just tighten the bolt down instead of welding it?

thanks, any help would be great!

Danny

Tightening it down should work just fine but if the shock ever has to be removed again you are going to have to access the top of that bolt.
